Fireproof PR Base G4 Lamp socket adapter. Convert standard PR lamp flashlights to accept G4 bi-pin minilamps such as T2.25 and T2.5 lamps. Made for high output modified flashlights with bi-pin lamps, fits most C and D cells flashlights using PR base Lamps and does not interfere with focusing systems of M*G lights.

The socket is mill machined from solid brass. The positive "leg" is electrically isolated with fire-proof material, capable of handling (200 degrees Celsius) 392 degrees Fahrenheit degree. Treated with a special coating to ensure maximum performance and long life.

Use the included hex screw to secure the bulb. This socket works with all G4 bulbs such as: WA1111, WA1160, WA1166, WA1185, Osram 64275, Philips 5761 or anything with pin diameter of (0.71mm) 0.028".

Installation:

1)For the bulb's pin that is going into the postive socket hole (it is isolated by white fire-proof material), carefully cut the leg to 1/4 inch or 0.6mm (measured from the bottom of the bulb) Lamps such as Welch Allyn may not need to be trimmed; be careful not to over trim the leg which will make the lamp un-usable.

2)For the bulb's pin that is going into the negative socket hole (the hole with direct contact with the brass material), carefully cut the pin's length to 0.2 inch (0.5mm). The pin that goes into the negative socket hole should be slightly shorter than the postive pin for the best result. Welch Allyn lamps may not need to be trimmed, try fitment before trimming and DO NOT over trim.

3)Insert the bulb into the socket (make sure it goes as deep as possible, the positive pin will be locked inside the socket) and secure the negative pin with the side screw using the included hex screw driver. The set screw only takes a very gentle turn, less than you would expect; do not over twist.
