Lithium Ion 14500 batteries rated at 700mAh. Note that industry standard for capacity ratings is typically performed at a low rate of .1C and represents a MAX capacity value. E-lectronics does its best to present the actual performance ratings as well as the manufacturers specified ratings. We have tested these cells under several load conditions including a test at 800mAh load which is over a 1C rate and an accurate representation of demand in flashlight use. The test was performed with a fully charged cell at 4.2v and terminated at 3.0 volts; the results were 600mAh which are very good in our opinion. Testing was performed with a Bantam BC6 analyzer. This particular 14500 cell does not have circuit protection and must be used with caution! Mis-handling these cells such as overcharging, short circuit, or reverse polarity can cause fire or explosion. Lithium Ion batteries MUST NOT be charged over 4.2 volt and my be damaged if discharged below 2.5 volts. We do offer this 14500 in a protected battery as well. Operating Specifications: | Nominal operating voltage | 3.6 | | Minimum operating voltage | 2.5 | | Maximum operating voltage | 4.2 | | Rated capacity @.1C [mAh] | 700 | | Maximum discharge rate | 1.5C | | Maximum charge rate | 1C | | Cell diameter in millimeters* | 14 | | Cell Length in millimeters* | 49 | *- Length and diameter were determined by a random sampling of cells, this table represents the largest measurements from this sampling.
